The history of Sambonet began in 1856 thanks to Giuseppe Sambonet who, after obtaining his graduation at the Academy of Fine Arts, founded the company called Sambonet. In the 1930s Sambonet, a leader in the production of luxury tableware and cutlery, developed an innovative process for the production of stainless steel cutlery and improved the techniques of silver plating process. In the 60s, internationally renowned designers created collections that spread Sambonet's ethics also internationally. Roberto Sambonet, in particular, creates collections shown at the MoMA in New York. In 1997 Sambonet joined the Paderno group, and today with its headquarters in Orfengo the Sambonet Group Paderno Industrie SpA is a leader in the production of high quality design items for the table and the kitchen, for home, for hotels and luxury restaurants.
