Sam Hecht, a London designer born in 1969, trained at the Central Saint Martins School of Art and then completed his education at the Royal College of Art in 1993. He spent three years in the USA and then other three years in Japan. It was in 2002 that he and his partner, Kim Colin, opened their own studio in London. Together they designed products for Yamaha (Japan), Mattiazzi (Italy), Issey Miyake (Japan), Established & Sons (UK), Louis Vuitton and Tectona (France) and Muji (Japan). Among the products it is to mention the furniture OE1 for Hermanmiller, the hangers PALMO, the chairs MC 12 - TRONCO, MC 7 - RADICE, MC 2 - BRANCA, MC 19 - FRONDA.
