Angelo Mangiaroti born in Milan in 1921 was an architect, designer, urban planner and lecturer. He is one of the most important figures in the field of Italian and American architecture and recognized as one of the most influential designers of the 20th century. He has received numerous awards both in Italy and abroad and has contributed with his experience to many Italian furniture companies, but also with automotive companies like Alfa Romeo. Mangiarotti's career began in the early fifties and his works immediately became models for the word architecture, engineering, design and art, thanks to his ability to combine these disciplines so far apart. He Being both an architectural and a designer he consider his language as an expression of a new relationship between man and the environment, while in the designer's activity a very important role is reserved for plastic research. Mangiarotti combines the professional activity with an intense didactic activity carried out in the Italian foreign universities. He died in Milan on 30 June 2012.
